About the Center for Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology

Dr. Gadi Avshalomov is a diplomate of both the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is on staff at North Shore–Long Island Jewish Health System and Cohen Children’s Hospital. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology.

Dr. Gadi Avshalomov is primarily in clinical practice caring for adults and children who suffer from all types of allergic and immunologic conditions. Practicing for more than a decade on the north shore of Long Island and Brooklyn, Dr. Avshalomov accurately diagnoses and treats seasonal allergies, asthma, eczema and immune system conditions. Dr. Avshalomov offers custom-made allergy shots to treat each patient’s specific needs based on current and scientifically approved methods.

Dr. Avshalomov, a board-certified allergist and immunologist, is a graduate of New York University and Tel-Aviv University Medical School in Israel. He treats every type of allergy as well as dermatitis, sinusitis, immunodeficiency, bronchitis, wheeze, cough and itch. Dr. Avshalomov specializes in identifying and treating hay fever as well as food and pet allergies.

Relying on the highest standards of testing and diagnosis, Dr. Avshalomov correctly determines the source of allergies such as pollen, dust mites and mold for a highly effective treatment and relief from allergies and other conditions. Dr. Avshalomov also provides IVIG/SCIG immunoglobulin therapy to treat a variety immunodeficiencies.

The Center for Allergy, Asthma and Immunology now has an on-staff Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certified by the Academy of Nutrition and dietetics and licensed in New York State. Kristin Cardillo RDN, CDN is known for her evidence-based approach that transforms complex nutritional concepts into practical nutritional habits and strategies for her patients. She is currently the head of Nutrition at The Center for Allergy, Asthma & Immunology located in NYC and has designed a weight loss strategy that is practical and successful. She comes from Montclair State University with a bachelors degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and completed 1400 hours of supervised clinical practice with Northwell Health rotating from multiple tertiary hospitals. Her success with patients include reversal of diabetes, lowering cholesterol and triglycerides.
